How Air Charter Works

Air Charter Costs
When you charter an aircraft it means that you are basically renting the aircraft for a specific trip and the cost of renting or chartering an aircraft will depend on the itinerary of the desired trip. Although you may find some standardized air charter pricing on per flight hour price, it does not always accurately reflect the total cost for an Air Charter trip because there are several factors that will determine the final cost.

When you charter an aircraft the trip is customized to your needs, thus the charter price is affected by many factors, including the aircraft availability, length of stay at your destination, number of passengers, type of aircraft, and aircraft repositioning; from its base to your choice of airport.   This means that you must provide a detailed trip itinerary in order to generate an accurate air charter price or quotation. For most part an Air Charter quote or price will be a one lump sum total that includes:
  •  Pilots
  •  Flight Attendant(s), if required
  •  Airport Landing fees (cost varies by airport)
  •  Fuel surcharge
  •  Aircraft: usually by flight hour, but there could be an aircraft daily minimum
  •  Crew overnight costs or two roundtrips *
* NOTE: depending upon the length of stay at your destination the charter may overnight the crew or simply return the aircraft to the base airport and charge you two roundtrips to your destination.

Air Charter Companies
In the Air Charter world there are two types of charter companies, the air charter operator and the air charter broker. The air charter operators are the companies that own and manage the aircraft that are available to be rented or chartered. The air charter broker is a service agent that can represent either the air charter customer or air charter operator.

We believe that for you, the air charter customer, a charter broker is an ideal and valuable source for scheduling your next air charter trip because the right charter broker will work for your best interests. As a customer of KewlJets Air Charter Service we are committed to finding well qualified aircraft operators with the most suitable aircraft at the best possible price. As a charter broker KewlJets not bound by their own fleet of aircraft that they have to keep in the air to cover our costs, like an air charter operator.  We work on your behalf to ensure a position air charter experience.
