Eclipse 500

The Eclipse Aviation Corporation has developed a truly innovative, next-generation jet aircraft that has the potential to propel our air transportation system in a positive direction.

The Eclipse 500 by Eclipse Aviation Corporation, is a high-performance twin-engine jet aircraft that is one of the first very light jets (VLJ's)to be certified by the FAA; September of 2006. The Eclipse aircraft was built to be both cost and fuel efficient with a price tag of $1.53 M and an estimated $372.60 per hour operating costs through their JetComplete program.

The Eclipse 500 jet utilizes two Pratt & Whitney 610F turbofan engines with 900 lbs of thrust. The Eclipse aircraft seats just four passengers in the back and at this time it does not include a lavatory. The Eclipse 500 has 160 cubic feet of cabin space and 26 cubic feet of baggage storage space. This VLJ has a number of different interior options, including seat styles and interior color; similar to selecting an automobile at your local auto dealer.
