Generally when you think of Brazil, there are two things that immediately come to mind. Soccer, and Mardi-Gras. Well here are two other things that you can add to that list, Embraer's Legacy 500 and Legacy 450. While the original Legacy 600 is an executive/VIP derivative of this Brazilian manufacturer’s ERJ 135 regional jet, the Legacy 500 and the slightly smaller Legacy 450 are new designs from the ground up, if you'll pardon the pun. Both aircraft will be using Honeywell HTF7500E engines that can produce 7,000 pounds of thrust. The engines are fuel efficient and and should lower costs and noise levels. Both planes have a fully equipped galley, and externally serviced lavatory. Avionics is Rockwell Collins’ Pro Line Fusion, described as an “unmatched level of capability in midlight and midsize jets. Stand up room for both is a comfortable 6 feet, which is pretty good in its class, but might not be enough for your standard ball player. Who, innocently on his way to the lavatory, might look like he's checkin' out the flight attendant's mammiferous region.
