Targeted to hit the ultra luxury biz jet market sometime in 2012, with a top speed of Mach .925, the Gulfstream G650 is the fastest aircraft ever to be offered in the civilian market. The fastest non military aircraft will have an 84-inch-wide floor for larger seats, wider aisles and the ability to seat three across. The pilots will be wowed by its cockpit too. Among its most advanced avionics in the GS family is four 14 inch panels, three planebook computer tables, n a standby multifunction controller that combines current display controller functionality with standby flight instruments. This makes the G650's cockpit the envy of every discovery channel junkie and Nasa type geek. The new BR725 engine powers the 650, it is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor yet more efficient and 33% quiter. Think of it as a Bently, or a Rolls-Royce, a stately piece of machinery that announces a certain air of success. True to the heritage of its predecessors, ultra luxury is key. Even the lavatories have separate ventilation systems. Something we wish was standard equipment in our own homes, specially after cinco de mayo.
