Bombardier Aerospace, a subsidiary of Bombardier Inc., is a global corporation headquartered in Canada with revenues of $14.7 billion US for the fiscal year 2006. Bombardier manufactures both commercial and business jet aircraft for the global aviation market. Bombardier Aerospace offers a full-line of business jet aircraft, featuring three distinct aircraft series; the Learjet series, the Challenger series, and Global Express series.
The Bombardier Learjet aircraft series features powerful, long range light jet type aircraft such as the Learjet 60 XR; which provides a stand-up cabin, transcontinental range of 2,451 nm, high-speed performance of up to 536 mph, and a price tag of $12.9 M. The entry level Learjet 40 and the mid-range Learjet 45 offer impressive range, speed, and interior features that truly reflect the innovative legacy of the Learjet aircraft.
The Bombardier Challenger aircraft series features three intercontinental business jets with proven flexibility and the widest cabin of any business jet available today. The Challenger series is headlined by the Challenger 850 heavy type jet, with almost 2,000 cubic feet of cabin space there is plenty of space for up to 15 passengers.
The new Bombardier aircraft- Challenger 605, scheduled to enter service in September 2007, builds on the reputation of its predecessor, already recognized worldwide for dependability, reliability and superior value. It features one of the most advanced cockpits available today, and a more spacious, restyled interior offering increased comfort and convenience. The Challenger 300 rounds out the impressive Challenger series with a range of 3,100 nm, the midsize jet can carry up to 9 passengers at over 525 mph.
In the super large segment Bombardier manufactures the ultra long range, long-body Global Express airplane and Global 5000 aircraft, which designed to execute transcontinental missions faster than any competing jet. The Bombardier Global Express business jet features the largest cabin space in its heavy jet category, with over 2,100 cubic feet of cabin space. The Bombardier Global Express airplane and Global 5000 jet aircraft are both currently the fastest production aircraft in their class as well, reaching cruising speeds of up to 590 mph.
